Welcome To Our Association
The Solana Beach Art Association is a collaborative group of members--artists who reside in Solana Beach and nearby communities--who engage in all fields of the arts. Its purpose is to foster high standards of aesthetics, craftsmanship and creative talent, to promote the arts and arts appreciation in the community, and to help develop the professional efforts of its members. The association seeks to provide a platform of education in the form of exhibitions, presentations, lectures and other activities that emphasize the importance of the arts in personal life and within the community. The association provides a place for networking and support for its members and friends. SBAA helps brings the arts to the community and the community to the arts. | Membership into the association is open to professional artists from a variety of disciplines. Our members includes fine artists, public artists, ceramicists, writers, poets and vocalists. Each year the SBAA hosts an art exhibition and a public event. In the past we have organized Arts in Bloom, an arts festival in Del Mar; a Mothers' Day poetry event; and a Valentine poetry reading and art show. In 2012 we will present a Flash Fiction event combined with our annual art exhibition at the Solana Beach City Hall Gallery. We offer student membership for a reduced annual rate of $15. Regular dues are $25, payable at the beginning of the year. We also welcome "Friends of the Arts" members. To apply for membership click on the Application link. |
